Volunteer Curators
Help the world understand why real moments are funny.
BestFunnyVideo is building country-based funny video collections and multilingual
human explanations. A short video may look simple, but the real meaning often lives
inside local culture, language, timing, slang, family habits, street life and shared memory.
Why this matters
Funny videos need human witnesses.
Algorithms can count views, but they cannot fully explain why a local joke works,
why one gesture is embarrassing in one culture, or why the same phrase feels different
across countries that speak the same language.
We want real people to help preserve real moments. Volunteers help us turn short clips
into something more useful: country collections, cultural notes, better tags, cleaner
descriptions and future discussion material for the community.
Two volunteer paths
Choose the work that matches what you know best.
You do not need to be famous, technical or professional. You need taste, honesty,
local understanding and a willingness to help real moments travel across borders.
01 Country Curator
Help build a funny video collection for your country. Find original or properly
shareable clips, explain the local context, suggest categories, write short notes
and help us understand what viewers outside your country may miss.
- Recommend funny videos from your country or region
- Explain the local setup, joke, habit or cultural background
- Suggest country tags, scene tags and category placement
- Help review whether a clip feels respectful and worth preserving
02 Multilingual Volunteer
Help videos cross language borders. Some countries share a language, but not the
same slang, humor, rhythm or meaning. Your work helps us describe the same moment
in words that different communities can actually understand.
- Translate short descriptions and context notes
- Explain slang, dialects, phrases and double meanings
- Compare how the same thing is said in different countries
- Help build future multilingual video pages and community notes
First step
Submit one qualified funny video first.
Before we invite volunteers into deeper community work, we ask every applicant to
submit one qualified funny video. This helps us understand your taste, judgment,
cultural knowledge and ability to explain why a clip matters.
What to submit
A real funny video you have the right to share, or a clip where you can clearly explain the source and permission situation.
What to explain
What happens, why it is funny, who appears, where it happened, the key moment, suggested tags and any background story.
What we look for
Not perfect English. We look for honest context, local understanding, careful tagging and respect for real people in the video.
Start With One Video Volunteer standard
This is not content farming.
We are not trying to flood the internet with random clips. We are building a finite
content ecosystem where each approved video can gain better context over time.
- Respect copyright and personal dignity.
- Prefer real moments over staged spam or AI-generated videos.
- Explain context clearly instead of chasing empty virality.
- Help local humor become understandable without making it cheap.
- Support the community when you find better videos, better tags or better explanations.
What you help build
A human map of funny moments across countries and languages.
Country collections Funny videos organized by place, culture and local context.
Language bridges Human explanations that carry jokes across dialects, countries and communities.
Community memory Notes, tags and future discussions that make short videos easier to understand later.
Better discovery Human curation instead of an endless algorithm deciding what deserves attention.
If you understand your culture, you can help the world laugh with it.
Start with one video. Explain it with care. Show us how you see the moment.
That first contribution can become the beginning of a country collection, a language bridge
and a lasting part of the BestFunnyVideo community.
